Rough Carpentry
Applied Interior Systems delivers the rough carpentry backbone that every commercial interior depends on, blocking, backing, and structural support that is set right so every trade that follows can do their best work.
The structural support your finishing trades depend on, done right the first time
Rough carpentry may not be the most visible scope on a commercial project, but it is one of the most consequential. Applied Interior Systems takes that responsibility seriously. Our carpenters work from the drawings, coordinate with the framing and drywall crews, and install blocking, nailers, and backing that is exactly where it needs to be, so that millwork, fixtures, and equipment go in without issue.
Set right, built right, the foundation every finishing trade counts on
Building the Backbone of Better Commercial Interiors
Applied Interior Systems recognizes that the quality of rough carpentry work determines the quality of everything that follows it. We continue to challenge our teams to read ahead on the drawings, anticipate what the finishing and specialty trades will need and deliver a structural substrate that makes the rest of the project easier to build.
Quality Assurance
Applied Interior Systems’ approach to rough carpentry quality begins with making sure every carpenter on site understands the drawings and the expectations of the trades they are supporting. We check our work against millwork shop drawings, equipment submittals, and architectural details before finishing trades arrive, eliminating the costly surprises that come from backing installed in the wrong location or at the wrong height.
Tracking Project Trends
We track blocking and backing installation against the project schedule and coordinate directly with millwork and specialty contractors to ensure our rough carpentry scope is complete and verified before their work begins. When design changes affect blocking locations or structural requirements, we identify the impact early and keep all relevant trades informed.
